IBA will award $100,000 in broadcast scholarships and community college grants to deserving Iowa students during the 2006/07 school years, thanks to the support of the Q-Mac/ IBA Educational Endowment.

This year a total of seven Iowa students have been selected recipients of an IBA Broadcast Scholarship...they are: Bennett Blake, Wiota; Anthony James (A.J.) Ellingson, West Des Moines; Jonathon Walter Gregg, Charlotte; Michael Reid, Council Bluffs; Kelsi Dawn Roberts, Blooomfield; Shelley Russell , Waverly; and Tony Tracy, Clive. Each student will receive a $4,000 a year renewable scholarship, to pursue an education in broadcasting at an Iowa college or university.

Also, two UNI/Electronic Media students, Valerie Pitts of Oskaloosa and Mike Verlo of West Branch were selected to each receive a $4,000 scholarship next year to continue their broadcast studies.

All of these students will be recognized at the IBA Awards Luncheon on June 29.
