Five Scholarships Each Year
For over 30 years, the IBA has been providing broadcast scholarships to qualified students through the Quarton-McElroy/IBA Endowment Fund. The scholarship program provides recognition and financial assistance to deserving students seeking broadcast careers.

Each of the annual scholarships of up to $3,000 per year is awarded to Iowa students for a total of four years. In total, the scholarship represents $12,000 in college assistance to a qualifying student!

The scholarships may be used at any of the IBA approved colleges or universities to pursue an education within the broadcasting - electronic media, telecommunicative arts, broadcast production, or broadcast journalism. A complete list of the IBA approved Iowa colleges and universities is available from the IBA office or on the web at www.iowabroadcasters.com.

• To apply, you must be an Iowa High School graduate and resident of Iowa.
• You must be planning to enroll full-time in the broadcasting program at an IBA approved Iowa college or university.
• You'll need to complete an application form, available from the IBA office in Des Moines or at www.iowabroadcasters.com.
• You must have achieved an above-average academic record, verifiable by latest academic transcript.
• Your most recent ACT and/or SAT scores should be submitted and will also be considered.
• Provide a 1-3 type-written statement.
• Financial need.
