Operations Director

Pilgrim Radio Network

Company Pilgrim Radio Network
Position Operations Director
Jobdescription Looking for a well-rounded broadcast professional to keep everything running smoothly at this Christian radio network in the West! Pilgrim Radio has a unique educational format with plenty of original programming. We produce thought-provoking interviews with compelling Christian leaders, singers, and authors. We peruse books on our Reader’s Choice program, ranging from timeless classics to contemporary works. Our music selection goes beyond mere chart-toppers, to find deeper album cuts and some classics too. And unlike syndicated program formats, we bring fresh perspectives by rotating our teachers and pastors every three months, ensuring a constant stream of variety.

Responsibilities: As a valued member of our small yet passionate team, you’ll have a remarkable opportunity to exercise your skills in a diverse range of responsibilities. Manage and develop operational workflows, oversee quality control of both the air sound and online presence, and perform important administrative tasks. Recruit, train, and schedule staff. Contribute to planning and producing creative programming, and assist with hosting air shifts.

Qualifications: To excel in this position, candidates should possess a broad understanding of radio and be driven by the prospect of delivering meaningful Christian programming. Exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities are essential. Previous radio experience and solid analytical and problem-solving skills are also required. We value spiritual maturity and familiarity with Christian music and the Bible.

Location and Setting: Situated in Nevada’s State Capitol, Carson City, and part of the vibrant Reno metro area, Pilgrim Radio offers more than just a fulfilling career. With stunning Lake Tahoe just 30 minutes away, you’ll have easy access to year-round recreational opportunities amidst the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Established in 1962, our ministry operates as a non-profit, non-denominational, and commercial-free organization, serving as a beacon of inspiration for listeners across the intermountain and desert west on 9 FM stations and 28 translators. Streaming apps, smart speakers, and pilgrimradio.com expand that reach much further.

Apply Apply: Pilgrim Radio offers a competitive salary and benefits package. If you’re ready to embark on a journey that combines your passion for radio with your faith, let us hear from you! Please send your resume, demo, and a letter of introduction to Program Director Bill Feltner at: info@pilgrimradio.com. Come join our team and help provide “Strength for the Journey!”
