| Jobdescription | As our sports play by play and afternoon host, you are responsible for covering seven area high schools and providing play by play for high school volleyball, football, basketball, wrestling, track & field, baseball and softball. You will also be responsible for a board shift where you will provide latest weather information, market reports and special programming. Responsibilities include: - Produce daily sports content for on-air and online. - Provide live play by play for Hampton-Dumont/CAL and other area high schools - Build and maintain relationships with local sports contacts (coaches, administrators, etc.). - Provide beat coverage for our seven area high schools. - Host weekly interview programs. - Perform a voice-tracked board shift Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts - Produce commercial advertisements - Other duties assigned by management. Qualifications: - 1-3 years of experience in sports media or related fields (or college media) - Experience with Adobe Audition and Skylla Producer is a plus. - Knowledge of remote broadcast systems and concepts - Social media savvy - Valid driver’s license. |
